Consultant Microbiologist

Qualifications: MBBS, MRCP(UK), FRCPath, DipClinEd

Ali trained in Newcastle and has been a Consultant Microbiologist, based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary since 2010. Ali is also a Joint Head of School for Laboratory Medicine for Health Education England in the North East.

Ali’s special interests include cystic fibrosis, burns and plastic surgery, intensive care medicine, antimicrobial stewardship and medical education.
