Graduated from Salford University in 1996 with a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences

Joined Cytology at the RVI in 1999 as a trainee MLSO, completing a Diploma in Biomedical Sciences and becoming State Registered in 2000.

Achieved NHSCSP Cervical Screening Certificate in 2002, and became a City & Guilds Assessor for the subject in 2010.

Became a Senior BMS in 2004, completed MSc Biomedical Sciences in 2006, and then took on the role of Cytology Operations Manager in 2013.
